My wife and I tried the Tailwater Lodge for the first time after hearing good things. We went to the tasting room to start. My wife had a flight if wines and I had a flight of beers. We were both happy with the variety and our selections. The room was comfortable and had rustic elegance look. There were stools at the bar and sofas and chairs around it. There was a variety of games you can play like giant jenga and connect four. We went to the restaurant after finishing our flights. The menu had a good selection of appetizers, drinks, and entrees. There were beers offered that wasn't included in tasting room so I got another flight. My wife had brought a wine from the tasting room because she was told it wasn't available in the restaurant. We each liked our entrees. I had fish and chips. The fish was fresh and the batter was very tasty. My wife got the salmon. She said it was delicious. When we were ready to pay we told the server we were there celebrating our anniversary. She offered us free deserts. At each point, service was friendly and attentive. The hostess and server were great. We have already passed along to our friends and family how much we enjoyed Tailwater. We will definitely be back.

I was a bit wary when I heard this was a converted school but they did this place right. The bar/restaurant is beautiful inside and the food and drinks avalible for the price were pretty great! I also really liked the tasting room. 24 mostly NY beers on tap. Fool bar and wine as well. Services was great and everyone was really nice. I will be back.

Great place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and the onsite restaurant is good.

Overall, I like the craft beer selection appetizer options. The atmosphere and decor is very nice, but the prices are a bit overboard. We would visit more often with more casual options for early meals and more affordable pricing.

My wife and i have been here several times for meals. We love some of the items on the menu, and there are others that are not to our liking. The crab fritters are not our favorites, but we do like the pretzels and beer cheese as well as The poutine. The lobster Mac and cheese is very good, but for the price, it better be great.

Overall, a five for atmosphere, a 4 for food quality, and a 3 for menu selection and pricing.

Overall a great experience. The place is very nice, we went to look at it for our wedding venue (its in the running) and there was a craft show my fiance want to check out. My only complaint was one of the bartenders was really rude. It was very busy, I waited about 15-20 minutes for them to acknowlege me and then asked a simple question and she seemed very annoyed. I will give them a pass on that one this time since it was so busy, just not a way to impress your customers.
